: A latex copolymer resin for modifying cement mortars which kills the alkali present and permits decoration by resin based coatings after 24-48 hours curing time. Bond-Coat modified mortars have improved tensile, flexural and adhesive strengths, and increased resistance to water penetration, freeze-thaw and heat aging. The mortar shrinkage is substantially reduced, but the coefficient of expansion is unaltered.
APPEARANCE:A white resin, which imparts a blue/grey tinge to uncured renders.
USES: For modifying mortars for patching and rendering. For mortars used as a filler system over blockwork and common brickwork prior to RENOTEX SYSTEM. Especially useful for renders applied over 'Thermalite' and other lightweight blocks.
RECOMMENDED MIX:
Clean Washed Sand 150 Kg.
Ordinary Portland Cement 50 Kg.
Bond-Coat Resin10 Its
Clean Water Minimum consistant with workability required
RENOTEX PREPARATION BAGGING METHOD:
50/50 mix sand/cement minimum 10% latex
NOTES:
Volume boxes are recommended for site control.
The sand should be free from excessive fines, and be the coarsest consistant with thickness and surface finish required.
In cold weather (below 5ºC) rapid hardening cement may be preferred to reduce curing time.
ADDITIVES:Plasticisers are not generally required. An anti-foaming agent may be necessary.
RESTRICTIONS: Protect from frost. It is unsuitable for use in temperatures below 5ºC.
CONTAINER SIZE: 25 ltr containers.
