- Repair the roof structural points such as ridges, hips, gullies and gables and replace any faulty lead work. Replace any broken or damaged tiles.
- Apply RENO ANTICIDE to kill all moss, lichen spores and allow to dry - application is 3 - 5 sq m per litre.
- Roller or spray apply 2 coats of RENO ROOF at the rate of up to 3 sq m per litre for the two coats.
EXAMPLE:
This roof has not had any attention since being laid 16 years ago. The damp, porous surface of this roof is a perfect environment to promote the growth of moss and lichen, once it has taken hold it will continue to spread forcing roots into the tiles and under the pointing. Moss and lichen impedes the flow of water from the roof soaking up vast amounts of water thus generating acid attack.
