Reno Pool Coat

A unique resin-based, tough and flexible weather resistant coating with non-slip properties. Available in a range of colours that will restore swimming pool surrounds to their original appearance.

Ideal for the restoration of swimming pool surrounds/balustrades.

FORMULATION:

Formulated after extensive trials by swimming pool restorers. This unique formulation is specially designed for the restoration of swimming pool surrounds and balustrades.

Manufactured in our own factory to an exact specification and quality control, the formula is based on 2 extremely durable, flexible resins blended with other chemical and colour components to provide long lasting colour retention, weatherproofing, protection and durability.

APPLICATION:

RENO POOL COAT may be applied at any temperature above 5°C using a brush or roller. The addition of no more than 10% solvent will be permitted to adjust for any change in viscosity due to lower temperature.

COVERAGE:

Depending on the surface coverage is 2 sq mtrs per litre for 2 coats.

PACKAGING:

Supplied in 10 ltr and 20 ltr UN metal resealable drums.

METHOD STATEMENT

SURFACE PREPARATION

Power wash surface to establish clean base.
Treat the surface with RENO ANTICIDE.
Prepare the surface with a brush applied mix of Rend Bond/Reno Prep primer mix and allow to cure.
Mask up all areas not to be coated.
Roller apply 2 coats of RENO POOL COAT. 1st coat thinned 10% with Renotex thinners and allow to dry. 2nd coat thinned 5 to 10% with Renotex thinners.

DRYING TIMES:

Surface dry in 8 hours. Fully cured within 5 days, depending on temperature.

STAGES OF APPLICATION:

Stage 1 & 2

After power wash (stage 1) and application of RENO ANTICIDE (stage 2), the pool surround is ready to receive the brush application of Reno Prep/RENO BOND primer (stage 3).

The areas not to be coated were masked (stage 4). 2 coats of RENO POOL COAT were applied by roller (stage 5). Colour of pool surround – Oakland. Also not the tiled area around the pool was coated in 2 coats of RENO FLOOR waterlily colour. The store area at the bottom of the ornamental wall and the store patio area were treated with 2 coats of RENO SEAL clear.
