Reno Bond Admix

A latex copolymer resin ad mix to be added to RENO PREP RENDER when used as a priming coat to stabilise friable, flaking and uneven painted and rendered surfaces.

RENO BOND ADVANTAGES AND USES:

  • Easy to mix and easy to apply.
  • Increased resistance to water penetration.
  • Keeps alkali and acids under control by creating a barrier between the substrate and the Renotex ROLLERCOAT.
  • Can be used as a spot primer to stabilise surfaces.
  • Superior adhesive qualities allowing the stabilised area to be rendered over if required before the application of Renotex ROLLERCOAT.

CURING TIME:

Summer conditions 24 - 48 hours, winter conditions up to 7 days.

COVERAGE:

5ltrs of RENO BOND additive mixed with 12.5kg of RENO PREP RENDER gives a coverage of 20 sq metres approximately (very porous or rough surfaces will require more material).

RESTRICTIONS:

Do not use in temperatures below 5°C.

PACKAGING:

5ltr, 10ltr and 20ltr UN containers.

PLEASE NOTE - RENO BOND is only added to make the stabilising primer mix, it is not to be added when using RENO PREP RENDER as a 2 coat render

Stages of Application - Full House Prepared

Property has been power-washed then brush applied Reno Prep/RENO BOND primer mix.

Property primed and plinth repaired.

Stage of priming and masking.

Property primed and now ready for Renotex ROLLERCOAT application.

Renotex ROLLERCOAT applied in 2 coats.

Renotex ROLLERCOAT 2 coat application in waterlily colour. The sills and relief work in driftwood colour.

Example of Spot Priming

All loose paint removed, original paint left is well adhered.

The exposed render is spot primed with RENO BOND/RENO PREP primer mix.

The mix was applied to stabilise and even up the exposed surface taking care to feather in the edges so when coated will give a uniform finish.

Renotex ROLLERCOAT applied in 2 coats, to the whole of the wall to give a weatherproof, uniform finish.

A Further Example of Spot Priming

Before treatment

Wall showing water ingress and acid and alkali attack. Resulting in algae growing.

The wall was power-washed to remove all loose and flaking paint.

RENO ANTICIDE was applied prior to the priming coat of RENO BOND/RENO PREP primer mix. Note: left hand wall did not need to be primed.

Application of Renotex ROLLERCOAT in 2 coats

Renotex ROLLERCOAT smooth was applied by roller in 2 coats, waterlily colour.

The whole of the left hand wall was also coated to match the primed areas and give a weatherproof, uniform finish.
