is a system which involves the insertion of frozen siliconate solution pellets into holes drilled in the selected mortar course or an equivalent area of brickwork, blockwork or stone, the pellets melt and diffuse into the surrounding wall area and cure to from a continuous barrier to rising damp.
USES:
Damp-Stick can be used on existing brickwork, blockwork and stone of any thickness, cavity walls and walls of rubble filled construction and is particularly effective in the treatment of older properties.
FORMULATION: Manufactured from a siliconate solution in a controlled batch blending process the Damp-Stick is 20mm diameter by 210mm length.
COVERAGE: A box of 250 Damp-Sticks will cover 7.5 linear metres on a solid 225mm wall (9 inches).
DRYING TIMES: After treatment a 230mm solid brick wall previously affected by rising damp should normally dry out in 6 - 12 months provided normal heating is used during the winter months. Thicker walls may take longer. |
