Hellwood Racing Stables

Owned by Richard and Liz Whitaker, Scarcroft, Leeds; successful trainers and breeders with 26 winners and 29 seconds in the 2008 season.

The outside of these successful racing stables was treated with RENO PREP / RENO BOND and ROLLERCOAT.

The blockwork was over 20 years old, therefore the RENO PREP / RENO BOND primer mix was necessary. Had the blockwork been new, ROLLERCOAT could have been applied straight to the wall in 2 coats.

Richard and Liz commented that the products were user friendly and can be mixed and applied with no skill required. They were so pleased with the performance of the Rollercoat that they have now purchased products for the inside of the stables.

Restored Stable

Problem: Neglected building in need of renovation. Cracked Spanish style flick render.
Products used: Reno Prep/Reno Bond primer mix, Reno Prep render. Renotex Rollercoat yorkstone colour.

The Spanish style flick render was dated and holding dirt and some had fallen off. The loose render was removed and the raised edges of the flick style were removed. The render that was left on the building was sound and was then treated with brush applied Reno Prep/Reno Bond primer. The primer was allowed to cure. A render stop bead was fitted 100mm above ground level to bring the stables up to modern building standards. Reno-Prep Render was applied in 2 coats and allowed to cure. Rollercoat was then applied in 2 coats by roller. The roof and the stable doors and woodwork were coated in Reno Roof chestnut colour.

Farm Storage Building

Problem: Unsightly building in need of attention.
Products used: Reno Floor mid grey colour.

Panel building with metal door needed weather-proofing to last for another 20 years plus. At the same time a facelift was needed. The property was lightly power-washed to remove dirt etc and 2 coats of Reno Floor mid grey colour was brush and roller applied. The Reno Floor will adhere to most substrates including metal.

Result: "New" building at the same address fully weather protected.
